The internship is the main event, but daily life around it is what most students ask about before they commit. Here is the practical picture.
Most interns live in or around Canggu, which is Bali's main hub for interns, remote workers, and international students, with coworking spaces, cafés, and gyms a short scooter ride from most internships. Seminyak is the slightly more settled alternative, while Seseh offers a more relaxed, quieter option, though it comes with higher costs.
Grab and Gojek cover most day-to-day trips for roughly €0.50–€3 per ride. Many interns rent a scooter after the first couple of weeks, once they know the roads, for around €40–80 a month.
Internship hours run much like a normal job, typically weekdays during the day, with evenings and weekends left for surf sessions, group dinners, coworking, and trips with the rest of the cohort.
Outside the program fee, most students spend €440–€630 a month on rent, food, transport, and daily life — often less than rent for a room at home.
